This article walks through every field on the campaign form and what it means for your business.
Starting a new campaign
Click Campaigns in the left sidebar
Click New Campaign
You'll land on the campaign builder. Let's walk through it section by section.
Campaign name
Give your campaign an internal name that makes sense to you. Something like:
"Phoenix HVAC Replacement"
"Tampa Roofing Repair"
"DFW Bath Remodel"
This name is for your reference only. Homeowners never see it.
Trade
Pick the trade this campaign is for. Each campaign is one trade. If you offer HVAC and roofing, you'll create two separate campaigns. This keeps reporting and pricing clean.
Service area
Define the geographic area where you want to receive leads. You can set service area by:
ZIP code (most precise)
City
County
Radius from a point on the map
The bigger your service area, the more lead volume you'll see. But only set it as wide as you actually want to drive. A lead 90 minutes from your shop is still a lead you'll be charged for.
Schedule and hours
Set the days and hours you want leads delivered. Most contractors run leads during business hours so they can call back fast, but you can run 24/7 if your team handles after-hours calls.
Outside of your scheduled hours, no leads will be delivered or charged to your account. Leads that come in outside your window are routed to other contractors.
Daily and weekly caps
Set a maximum number of leads per day and per week. This protects you from running out of capacity to follow up.
If you're brand new, start conservative. You can always raise the cap later once you see how your team handles the volume.
Price per lead
This is the amount you'll be charged for each lead delivered through this campaign. We'll show you a recommended price based on your trade and market.
You can:
Accept our recommendation
Set a higher price (you'll win more leads)
Set a lower price (you'll receive fewer leads but pay less per lead)
The next article goes deep on how to think about pricing.
Save your campaign
When you're done filling out the campaign, click Save Campaign. Your campaign is created and you'll land on the campaign page.
From the campaign page, you can pause or unpause the campaign any time using the toggle. A paused campaign won't receive leads or trigger charges. An unpaused (active) campaign starts receiving leads immediately, as long as you have a payment method on file.
If your account doesn't have a payment method on file, you'll see a message on the campaign telling you to add one before the campaign can go active.
What's next
Before you launch, give some thought to your price per lead. That's the single biggest lever you have over volume and profitability.
