Adding a payment method

You'll need a valid payment method on file before you can launch any campaigns. This article covers how to add one and the difference between your options.

Two payment options

Credit or Debit Card

- Auto-charged each time a lead is delivered

- Instant setup

- Best if you want to get launched immediately

ACH (Bank Transfer)

- Used to prefund your account balance in larger amounts

- You sign a one-time authorization, then request transfers when you're ready to add funds

- Funds take 2-5 business days to land

- Best for contractors spending significant volume each month who prefer fewer, larger transactions

Many contractors use both: ACH to keep a healthy prefunded balance, with a card on file as backup.

Adding a card

  1. Go to Billing in your dashboard

  2. Click Add Payment Method

  3. Select Card

  4. Enter your card details

You'll be asked for:

  • Card number

  • Expiration date

  • CVV

  • Billing zip code

Card information is processed and stored by our payment provider, not by LeadSource directly.

Once added, the card is on file and will be charged automatically each time a lead is delivered through one of your campaigns.

Setting up ACH (Bank Transfers)

ACH works differently than card. Instead of saving bank details for auto-charges, you sign a one-time authorization form, then request transfers whenever you want to add funds to your account balance.

Step 1: Authorize Bank Transfers

  1. Go to Billing in your dashboard

  2. Click Authorize Bank Transfers

  3. Sign the ACH authorization form

This is a one-time step. Once signed, you can request transfers any time without re-signing.

Step 2: Request a transfer

After you're authorized, let our team know how much you'd like to transfer. Our accounting team will process the payment.

Funds typically take 2-5 business days to land in your LeadSource account balance. Once they land, they're used against lead charges as leads come in.

What happens if a card charge fails

If we try to charge your card and it fails (declined, insufficient funds, expired card), your active campaigns will pause automatically. You'll get an email letting you know, and a banner will show up in your dashboard.

To get back up and running, update your card or add a new one, then unpause your campaigns.

If you're running on a prefunded ACH balance and the balance hits zero, your campaigns will also pause. Request another transfer to top up.

What's next

Once you have a payment method on file (card, ACH authorization, or both), you're ready to create your first campaign.
